I don't know about you, but last year was supposed to be "hot girl summer" and this year I'm more "Golden Girls Summer".
It is hotter than ever, possibly because it feels like the world is on fire? Hard to say.
What I do know is this: The other day my 4th grader was singing "Side to Side" super loudly.

Yall, I didn't even have a Trash Panda Parent moment (Despite my husband's horrified reaction). I was like, "Yup, I feel that". I am TIRED. I feel a little wobbly, a little confused, and totally dazed, like the sun hurts my eyes because I've been out all night. In times like this I'm more about cheesecake than running (who can wobble while eating cheesecake? IT MAKES EVERYTHING MAKE SENSE! YAY SCIENCE!).
The juice may be loose for some of yall, but my #CSID diagnosis means no cheesecake for me so I'll be over here in my muumuu, complaining about the heat, with my blue hair.
Sometimes, you may see me in the Park, burning energy with this month's bonus move: Side Sumo Step Ups. Do with a friend and GRUNT LOUDLY each time you lift a knee. Cathartic!!!!!
Every decision you've ever made was the right one at the time. Any day you choose muumuus and cheesecake and self-care is a GREAT DAY. It's adulting in action.
