February is never a great month for running.

I don't need that groundhog to see his shadow to tell you this winter is nowhere near over.
We are supposed to get 2 more inches of snow this weekend, up to 20 inches in the mountains. Then two more storms are scheduled to arrive before Valentine's Day! This is why I never loved late spring marathons, they make you train in snow and mud and slush. Not my favorite!
Even if it is your favorite, please be careful! Use the insteadmill. Take your workout indoors. Preserve your body- falling on black ice can ruin your fall race plans, too. This is already shaping up to be a long year. It will be even longer if you can't get your run in! I promise, that treadmill is better than nothing!
If you don't have a race on the calendar, find that thing you love to do and do it! Something else you can't do outdoors is watch Netflix. But on a treadmill, you sure can! Right now, I'm tearing through a new season of The Night Agent.

This Month’s Workouts
We are going back to basics- grab your loops!!! (If you don’t have any, click here to see what I’m talking about. Best $8 you will invest in your booty!) We are going to wake up your glutes and inner thighs! YAY!
Rebuilders will have a fun progressive run/walk series with high knees built in for extra warmth!
Maintainers will get one steady state run, and one fun run. Easy Does it is the steady state workout- just find something faster than EE and hold onto it- steadily! Try to keep your heart rate under 160, ok?
